Ingredients:

     1/2           Cup  flour
     1/2           Cup  sugar
  1           Teaspoon  baking powder
     1/2      Teaspoon  salt
     1/2         Stick  butter -- melted
     1/2           Cup  milk
  1                Can  cherries or peaches
     1/2           Cup  sugar
 

Preparation:

Sift first 4 ingredients into bowl. Add melted butter and milk. Pour into greased baking pan, 8x6x2 inches. Mix pie cherries with sugar; pour right over batter. Immediately place in 400~F. oven for 45 minutes.
