Ingredients:

   2      cups          tart apples -- chopped
   1      cup           raisins
   1      cup           brown sugar
     1/8  teaspoon      cinnamon
     1/8  teaspoon      salt
     1/8  teaspoon      nutmeg
   1      cup           thick sour cream
   1                    recipe        southern pastry
   1      teaspoon      flour

Preparation:

Mix apples, raisins, sugar, spices, salt and sour cream together. Line piepan with pastry, dust with flour, pour in filling and cover with top crust. Bake in very hot oven (450F) 10 minutes; reduce temperature to moderate (350F) and bake 45 minutes longer or until apples are tender. Serve hot. Makes 1 9-inch pie. Sprinkle grated cheese over baked pie and return to oven until cheese is melted.
