Jello Strawberry Bavarian Pie

Ingredients:

   1      package       jello strawberry gelatin -- 3 oz
   1      tablespoon    sugar
     1/8  teaspoon      salt
   1      cup           boiling water
     1/2  cup           cold water
   1      package       birds eye quick thaw strawberries -- 10 oz.
   1      cup           birds eye cool whip non-dairy whipped
                        -- topping
   1                    baked 9-inch pie shell -- cooled
 

Preparation:

Dissolve Jello, sugar and salt in boiling water. Add cold water and frozen strawberries. Stir gently until fruit thaws and separates. Chill until slightly thickened. Add whipped topping; blend until smooth. (Mixture may appear slightly curdled but will smooth out on blending.) Pour into pie shell. Chill until firm, about 4 hours. Garnish with additional whipped topping, and mint leaves, if desired. Makes on 9-inch pie. Enjoy. (A beautiful dessert, gossamer light and smooth as silk. Garnish with whole fresh strawberries if you like.)
