  1                     graham crackerpie crust -- (6oz)
  1              large  egg yolk -- slighdy beaten
                        ***FILLING***
  1                can  cherry pie filling -- (1-lb.14oz)
                        -- (3 1/2 cups)
  1         tablespoon  cornstarch
  1         tablespoon  water
                        ***TOPPING***
  2        tablespoons  granulated sugar
  2        tablespoons  light bnown sugar -- fmmiy packed
     1/3           cup  all purpose flour
     1/3           cup  quick cooking oats
  3        tablespoons  butter -- melted
 

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 3750F. Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk; bake on baking sheet until golden buown, about 5 minutes. Remove crust fiom oven. Filling: Place cherry pie filling in bowl. In a sepamte centainer combine cornstarch and water to make smoothpaste. Mix paste intocherry pie filling and spoon into prepared crust. Topping: In a bowl combine sugar; flour, and oats; mix in melted butter. Spoon oat mixture over pie filling. Bake at 3750 F on baking sheet for 35 minutes. Coolatleast4hoursonawirerack. Serve at room temperature. Time: 20 minutes
