                        butter a 9 x 13 pan.
                        layer i: 1 box yellow cake mix -- leave dry, press in
                        -- pan
                        layer ii: 2 blocks butter -- cut into pats
                        layer iii: 1 cup chopped pecans
                        layer iv: 1 cup coconut
                        layer v: 2 cups crushed pineapple

Preparation:

Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes, and cool. Top with cool whip and serve.
