Peanut Butter Fudge

Ingredients:

  1                box  light brown sugar -- (16-oz)
     1/2           cup  milk
  2        tablespoons  butter
     3/4           cup  peanut butter
  1           teaspoon  vanilla
     1/2           cup  chopped peanuts
 

Preparation:

1. Butter a 9x5-inch loaf pan; set aside.

2. Heat sugar, milk, and butter in a heavy 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Continue boiling 5 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Cool 10 minutes.

3. Add peanut butter, vanilla, and peanuts. Stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
