MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE

Ingredients:

   2      cups          sugar
   2      sticks        butter -- softened
   4                    eggs
   1 1/2  cups          flour
     1/4  cup           cocoa
     1/2  cup           walnuts or pecans -- chopped (optional)
   1 1/2  cups          angel flake coconut
   1      teaspoon      vanilla
   1      jar           marshmallow cream -- (13 ounce)
                        TOPPING
   1      stick         butter -- softened
     3/4  box           powdered sugar -- sifted
   1      can           sweetened condensed milk
     1/2  cup           cocoa
   1      teaspoon      vanilla
 

Preparation:

CAKE Cream sugar and butter together. Add the next 6 ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until done. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Spread the marshmallow cream over the entire cake. Let the cake cool with cream. TOPPING Melt butter in small pan. Add cocoa and milk. Bring to boil, but do not let the mixture scorch. Pour over powdered sugar and add vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread over cake.
