Lemon Streusel Cake

Ingredients:

                        CAKE:
  1                     lemon cake mix w/pudding
     1/2            C.  butter
     3/4            C.  milk
  2                     eggs
                        FILLING:
     1/4            C.  sugar
  1                     cream cheese -- (8 oz. pkg.)
                        softened
  1               Tbs.  lemon juice
  1               Tsp.  grated lemon rind
                        TOPPING:
     1/2            C.  chopped walnuts
 

Preparation:

Cut butter into cake mix (reserving 1 c. for topping) To remaining mixture, add mild and eggs. Beat on High for 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 9 X 12 pan. Set aside. Cream sugar, cream cheese, lemon juice and rind. Blend well. Drop by tsp. onto batter and spread across batter to edges of pan. (like for a marble cake) Add nuts to 1 c. reserved mixture, and mix together. Sprinkle over batter. Bake 30-35 minutes in a 350 degree oven, or until golden brown. Store in refrigerator.
