Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients:

     3/4           cup  sugar
  1                cup  flour
  3        tablespoons  baking cocoa
  2          teaspoons  baking powder
     1/4      teaspoon  salt
     1/4           cup  milk
     1/3           cup  butter or margarine -- melted
  1 1/2      teaspoons  vanilla extract
     1/2           cup  sugar
     1/2           cup  packed light brown sugar
     1/4           cup  baking cocoa
  1 1/4           cups  hot water
 

Preparation:

Mix 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium mixer bowl. Add the milk, butter, and vanilla and mix until smooth. Spoon into a square baking pan. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the batter and pour the hot water over the top; do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until the center is nearly set. Let stand for 15 minutes. Spoon the cake portion into serving dishes and spoon the sauce in the bottom of the pan over the top.
