Ingredients:

     3/4         pound  extra-lean ground beef
  1                cup  chopped onions
  1                cup  thinly sliced carrots
  1                cup  thinly sliced celery
  3               cups  water
  1                can  stewed tomatoes -- (14.5-oz) undrained
  1                can  tomato sauce -- (8-oz.)
  1                cup  frozen hash brown potatoes
  1           teaspoon  beef-flavour instant bouillon
  1           teaspoon  dried basil leaves
     1/2      teaspoon  dried thyme leaves
 

Preparation:

In a 5-quart Dutch oven, combine ground beef, onions, carrots and celery. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 - 8 minutes or until meat is browned and vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain; add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. 6 (1-1/3 cup) servings.
