Preparation:
Assemble and attach rotor slicer/shredder using thin slicer cone (no 4). Turn to speed 4 and slice onions; set aside. Exchange thin slicer cone for fine shredder cone (no 1). Turn to speed 4 and shred cheese; set aside.
Melt butter in large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until transparent, about 5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook until smooth, about 3 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and salt. Continue cooking until cheese melts, stirring occasionally. Serve hot. |
