Ingredients:

  1             Medium  Onion -- Quartered
     3/4         Pound  Cheddar Cheese
     1/4           Cup  Butter Or Margarine
     1/4           Cup  Flour
  2               Cups  Chicken Broth
  2               Cups  Milk
  1       28-Ounce Can  Whole Tomatoes, Drained, Seeded And
                        Chopped
     1/2      Teaspoon  Salt
 

Preparation:

Assemble and attach rotor slicer/shredder using thin slicer cone (no 4). Turn to speed 4 and slice onions; set aside. Exchange thin slicer cone for fine shredder cone (no 1). Turn to speed 4 and shred cheese; set aside. Melt butter in large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until transparent, about 5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook until smooth, about 3 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and salt. Continue cooking until cheese melts, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
