Preparation:
In a deep saucepan, saut‚‚ onion and pepper in oil until onion is soft and golden.
Add garlic and tomatoes.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add broth and salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add bread cubes right before serving.
