Creamy Nut Fudge

Ingredients:

   1      cup           unsweetened cocoa
     1/2  cup           sugar
   2      cans          {14 oz. each} sweetened condensed milk -- (2 2/3 cups)
   1      cup           butter or margarine
   1      cup           walnuts or pecans -- coarsely chopped
   1 1/2  teaspoons     pure vanilla extract
 

Preparation:

1. Combine cocoa and sugar in 4-quart saucepan; blend in condensed milk. 2. Add butter; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture boils and becomes very thick. 3. Boil and stir 10 minutes. 4. Remove from heat; blend in nuts and vanilla. 5. Spread mixture evenly in a foil-lined 9-inch square pan; chill 2 hours, or until firm. 6. Remove fudge from pan and peel away foil. Cut into pieces and store in airtight container in a cool, dry place.
