Ingredients:

  1               pint  shucked oysters
  1              quart  rich milk
     1/4           cup  butter
                        salt and pepper -- to taste
                        oyster crackers
 

Preparation:

In 4 quart pan, cook oysters, with oyster juices, over low heat until edges curl. Add milk, butter and seasonings. Heat, but do not boil. To serve pour over oyster crackers in bowl. 6 cups stew.
