Cony Island Hot Dog Chili

Ingredients:

  1              large  onion -- finely chopped
  1              large  green pepper -- finely chopped
  1              pound  ground beef
  1         tablespoon  olive oil
  1           teaspoon  salt
  1         tablespoon  worcestershire sauce
  1           teaspoon  pepper
  1               dash  cloves
  1               dash  hot sauce
  2             cloves  garlic -- crushed
  1            package  taco seasoning mix
  6             ounces  tomato paste -- (may use 12 ounces)
  1               dash  cumin
 

Preparation:

Saute onion and pepper in oil. Add beef and cook and stir until browned. Add remainder of ingredients and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes. Puree in batches for desired consistency, but don't pureee thoroughly smooth. Serve over hot dogs or plain buns, or rolls for a sloppy joe type sandwic
