Preparation:
Drain juice from pineapple and add water to make 2 1/2 cups. Add salt and bring to a boil, then sprinkle in rice cereal, stirring constantly so boiling does not stop. Cook over moderate heat, stirring gently, for 30 seconds. Turn off heat, cover and let stand 3 minutes. Fold in crushed pineapple and cherries. Makes 4 to 5 servings. |
