Preparation:
Core the apples and place is a buttered baking dish. Simmer sugar and wine
together for 5 minutes; pour over apples. Cover and bake for 30 to 40
minutes in a 400 F oven, or until apples are tender. Drain the syrup from
the apples and thicken with the jam and brandy. Pour the syrup over the
apples and serve either warm or chilled, plain or with cream. |
