2 large tart apples
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups fine sugar
4 egg whites -- beaten stiff
Preparation:
Peel and grate apples. Add salt and sugar. Fold apple mixture into stiffly beaten egg whites. Chill and serve very cold with Boiled custard as a sauce.
