Preparation:
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, water and Karo. Stir constantly until
it
threads. Add butter and peanuts slowly so that the mixture continues to
boil.
Cook slowly to 300 degrees, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat;
quickly
add soda and
vanilla. (It will foam up.) Turn onto 2 buttered baking sheets. Stretch
with
fork. Cool. Break up. Makes about 3 lb.. |
