Ingredients:

                        ***BOTTOM LAYER***
   1      cup           butter
   2      cups          all-purpose flour
     1/2  cup           Confectioner's sugar
                        ***TOP LAYER***
   4                    eggs
   2      cups          sugar
   4      tablespoons   flour
   6      tablespoons   lemon juice
                        Grated rind from 2 lemons
 

Preparation:

Bottom Layer: Cream butter. Add flour and sugar. Mix well. Pat mixture into a pan (8x12). Bake at 325ø for 20 minutes. Top Layer: Beat together eggs, flour, sugar, lemon juice, and rind. Avoid overbeating. Pour over baked bottom layer. (It is not necessary to cool bottom layer.) Bake at 325ø for 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Sift confectioner's sugar over top. Cut into bar
