Chinese Spare Ribs

Ingredients:

  1                cup  soy sauce
  1 1/2           cups  water
     1/2           cup  granulated sugar
  4          teaspoons  hoisin sauce
  4          teaspoons  minced garlic
  2             pounds  spare ribs -- cut in pieces
 

Preparation:

1. Mix together the first five ingredients in a bowl. 2. Fit the ribs snugly into a bowl or pan and pour the marinade over. 3. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours to overnight. 4. Grill or broil spareribs, turning once until done, about 15 minutes.
