Lettuce Salad With Avocado

Ingredients:

   1                    ripe avocado -- peeled, pitted and
                        -- mashed
   1                    scallion -- white part only,
                        -- finely chopped
   1      clove         garlic -- minced
   1      tablespoon    lemon juice
     1/2  teaspoon      chili powder
     1/4  teaspoon      hot red pepper sauce
   1                    tomato -- diced
   1      pound         packaged salad
     1/2  cup           croutons
 

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients, except lettuce and croutons, in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly. Chill avocado mixture until ready to serve. Toss with lettuce and croutons. NOTES : Prep: 10 min, plus chilling time.
