Ingredients:

   1      cup           shredded lettuce
     1/2  cup           coarsely chopped fresh broccoli
     1/2  cup           fresh snow peas -- if frozen, thaw
     1/4  cup           shredded carrot
     1/4  cup           canned sliced water chestnuts
     1/4  whole         green bell pepper -- or red cut into
                        -- strips
     1/2  cup           fresh bean sprouts
   1      tablespoon    canola oil
   1      teaspoon      lemon juice
 

Preparation:

Arrange the shredded lettuce to cover a dinner plate. In layers, add the broccoli, snow peas, carrots, water chestnuts, bell pepper, and bean sprouts. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour the dressing over the salad.
