Broccoli Salad

Ingredients:

  1               head  broccoli
                        red onion -- optional
                        crisp bacon or bacon bits -- optional
                        peanuts or walnuts -- optional
                        raisins -- optional
                        DRESSING
     1/2           cup  mayonnaise  (fat free is fine)
  2        Tablespoons  sugar
  1         Tablespoon  vinegar
 

Preparation:

Remove florets from broccoli. Save stalks to use in soups. Place broccoli florets in bowl. Use about 1/2 cup of any two of the optional ingredients and add to florets. Mix dressing and pour over florets. Serve chilled.
