Pasta Primavera - Mountain Fuel

Ingredients:

   4      ounces        linguine
     1/4  cup           butter or margarine
   1      cup           fresh broccoli -- thinly sliced
   1      medium        carrot -- thinly sliced
     1/2  cup           sliced green onions
   1      clove         garlic -- minced
   1      teaspoon      basil -- crushed
     1/2  teaspoon      salt
     1/4  teaspoon      pepper
   1 1/2  cups          sliced fresh mushrooms
   1      package       frozen pea pods -- 6 oz
     1/4  cup           dry white wine -- optional
                        parmesan cheese
 

Preparation:

Cook liguine according to package directions. Drain and keep warm. melt butter in a large skillet. Add broccoli, carrot, green onion, garlic, basil, salt and pepper and cook until just tender. Add mushrooms, pea pods and white wine and cook an additional 2 to 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in linguine. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
