Spiced Basmati Rice

Ingredients:

   1      Small         Onion -- finely chopped
   1 1/2  Tablespoons   Oil
 240      Grams         Basmati Rice -- (3 dl.)
     1/2  Teaspoon      Garam Masala
     1/2  Clove         Garlic -- minced
   1      Tablespoon    Ginger Root -- shredded finely
     1/2  Teaspoon      Salt
   4      Deciliters    Water
 

Preparation:

Fry onion in oil at med heat until translucent . Add rice and spices and broen for 1-2 min. Add water and bring to a boil. Boil at low heat, covered for 10 minutes. Let stand for 5-10 min. and fluff with a fork. Garnish with ginger and parsley if desired.
