Country Noodles And Ham

Ingredients:

  1              pound  medium or extra wide egg noodles
     1/4           cup  olive oil
  12            ounces  ham cut into large dice
     1/2           cup  diced yellow onion
  1                cup  sliced mushrooms
  1                cup  frozen peas -- thawed
  1         tablespoon  chopped garlic
  2               cups  chicken broth
  3        tablespoons  butter
                        salt and black pepper to taste
     1/3           cup  grated parmesan cheese
 

Preparation:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in large pot over high heat. Saute' ham and onion 3 minutes. Add mushrooms, peas and garlic; cook 6 minutes. Add chicken broth,butter; salt and pepper; simmer 3 minutes. Add hot noodles and toss well to blend. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve. Makes 3 dinner servin
