Ingredients:

  5               cups  great northern beans
  2              large  onions -- chopped
  1              pound  bacon -- cooked and chopped
     3/4           cup  molasses
     3/4           cup  brown sugar
  2        tablespoons  dry mustard
  1         tablespoon  worcestershire sauce
  1 1/2    tablespoons  salt
  4               cups  tomato juice
  8               cups  water
 

Preparation:

Quick cook beans. Add all remaining ingredients and bake covered in a bean pot, Dutch oven or roaster at 300*F for 6 hours. Stir gently twice during baking making sure beans are covered with liquid. Add more HOT liquid if necessary. Makes about 18 cups.
