Ginger Green Beans With Almonds

Ingredients:

   1      pound         yellow or green beans -- trimmed
   1      tablespoon    sesame oil
   1      teaspoon      gingerroot -- grated
   1      clove         garlic -- minced
     1/3  cup           chicken stock
     1/4  teaspoon      salt and pepper
     1/4  cup           slivered almonds -- toasted
 

Preparation:

1. Remove stem ends from beans, cut in half. 2. In a deep skillet heat oil, ginger, and garlic over medium heat for 1 minute or until fragrant. 3. Add chicken stock, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. 4. Add beans; cover and cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes or until green beans are tender-crisp. 5. Sprinkle with almonds and serve.
