Cheap, Easy Green Bean Soup

Ingredients:

  2               cans  green beans
     1/2        medium  onion
  1           teaspoon  lemon juice
     1/2           cup  flour
     1/2         stick  margarine
  2               cups  milk
  1                cup  cold water
  1         tablespoon  soy sauce or instant bouillon
                        salt and pepper -- to taste
 

Preparation:

Cook beans until tender, drain, puree in blender or food processor with onion and lemon juice. Melt margarine in a sauce pan. Blend in flour. Add milk, water, and soy or bouillon. Stir until thickened. Add pureed bean mixture; salt and pepper to taste.
