Crockpot Or Oven Beef Stew

Ingredients:

   1 1/2  pounds        stew beef
   1      can           tomatoes (28 oz can)
   3      tablespoons   instant tapioca
   1      slice         bread -- shredded into tiny
                         -- pieces
                        salt -- to taste
                        pepper -- to taste
   2      cups          water
     1/4  cup           celery -- chopped
   1      cup           onion -- chopped
                        carrots -- as many as needed,
                         -- chunked
                        potatoes -- as many as needed,
                         -- chunked
 

Preparation:

Combine all and place in large well greased casserole. Bake at 350 for about 3-1/2 hours. If you cook it in a crockpot, just start it early in the day, and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
