Beef Stew German Style

Ingredients:

   1 1/2  pounds        beef stew meat -- cubed
   2      tablespoons   all-purpose flour
     1/2  teaspoon      celery salt
     1/4  teaspoon      garlic powder
     1/2  teaspoon      ground ginger
     1/4  teaspoon      pepper
   1      16 oz can     tomatoes
   2      cups          carrots -- thinly sliced
     1/4  cup           sherry
     1/4  cup           dark molasses
     1/4  cup           raisins
                        noodles -- hot cooked
 

Preparation:

Place beef in crockpot. Combine celery salt, flour, garlic, ginger and pepper. Sprinkle over beef. Combine tomatoes (with juice), carrots, wine and molasses. Pour over beef. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours. Add raisins 30 minutes before serving. Serve on hot noodles.
