Preparation:
1. Mix dates and hot water. Cool. 2. Beat till creamy butter, sugar and eggs. Sift and stir in gradually flour and baking soda. 3. Stir in date mixture, vanilla, and 1/2 cup chocolate. Spread in greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan. 4. Top with 1/2 cup chocolate and nuts. Bake in 350 oven (moderate) about 30 minutes. Cool. Makes approximately 30 bars. |
