Ingredients:

  2                 c.  Butter/marg. (1/2 c.)
  2                 c.  Sugar (this is the amount if you ARE
                        going to Frost)  (1/3)
  3                 c.  if you are not going to frost (3/4 c.)
  4                     eggs (1 egg)
  1               TBSP  Vanilla (1 tsp)
     1/2          Tsp.  Salt (1/8 tsp)
  1                Tsp  Baking Powder (1/4 tsp)
  4               TBSP  Milk (1 tbsp)
                        FLOUR
 

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients, add enough flour to reach the desired consistency for either drop or roll out cookies. Roll out 1/4" thick and cut. Bake in 325 oven for 8 minutes. Don't wait until they are brown, just puffy. You may have to experiment a little as each oven is different. These make the most WONDERFUL sugar cookie! And they are Simple! This recipe is quadrupled for quantity. Try the amounts in ( ) for a single recipe, this will make about 2-3 doz. For easy frosting with kids, just fill several small zip lock bags of frosting. Add drops of food coloring. Let the kids squish in the color. Snip a small corner off the bag and Viola!, you have a pastry tube! Let them decorate up a stor
