Preparation:
Cream together lard, shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs and both extracts.
Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well and add to creamed
mixture. Dough will be dry and crumbly. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press an almond in the
center of each ball. Brush top of each cookie with beaten egg. Bake - 3501/4
20-25 minutes. Makes 8 dozen |
