Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

Ingredients:

1 pound spaghetti
2 cups boiling salted water
8 slices lean bacon
8 links sausages
2 large eggs
1 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon angostura aromatic bitters
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
 

Preparation:

1. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water according to package directions. 2. Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet and sausages in a separate small skillet. 3. When bacon is of desired crispness, remove from fat and keep warm. 4. Drain spaghetti; add to bacon fat in skillet. 5. Add cooked drained sausages, cut into 2-inch pieces, and 3 of the bacon slices, crumbled; cook together 2 minutes, stirring constantly. 6. Beat eggs; add cream and Angostura bitters. 7. Pour egg mixture over the spaghetti in the skillet; stir over low heat 1 minute. 8. Serve immediately garnished with remaining bacon slices and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
