Raisin Bread Pudding With Whiskey Sauce, Microwaved

Ingredients:

7 slices raisin bread -- cubed (about 4 cups)
1/4 cup light brown sugar -- packed
2 large eggs -- beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter -- cut in pieces
---WHISKEY SAUCE---
1/3 cup sauce
2 tablespoons bourbon
1/4 cup butter -- cut in pieces
1 large egg -- beaten
 

Preparation:

1. Spread bread cubes in 10 x 6-inch glass baking dish; sprinkle with brown sugar and salt. 2. Microcook milk and butter on dish in 4-cup glass measure until hot, about 4 minutes. 3. Whisk in eggs; pour over bread cubes. 4. Microcook on HIGH 9 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean, turning once. Whiskey Sauce 1. Mix sugar and bourbon in 2-cup glass measure; stir in butter. 2. Microcook on dish 2 minutes, or until mixture is bubbly. 3. Stir some sauce mixture into egg; pour egg back into bourbon mixture and whisk until smooth. 4. Serve warm over bread pudding.
