Chile Con Queso - 1

Ingredients:

1 cup cheddar cheese -- or Monterey jack
1/4 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons onion -- finely chopped
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 ounces chopped green chiles -- drained
1 package tortilla chips -- if desired
 

Preparation:

Place all ingredients except tortilla chips in 1-quart saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes 1 1/4 cups dip.
