Preparation:
Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add ham and cheese and mix well. With a wooden spoon stir in cream until a sticky dough forms. Do not over mix. Place dough on a floured surface and press into an evenly thick 10 inch circle. cut into 8 wedges. Grease a baking sheet. Place wedges on top in same circular pattern. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes until golden. Serve warm or at room temperature. Makes 8 scones. Baking time: 18 minutes. |
