Fried Okra

Ingredients:

1 pound firm okra
1/4 Cup butter
1/2 Cup corn meal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
 

Preparation:

Wash okra; dry with towel. Remove cap and end stem. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Roll okra in corn meal to which has been added the salt and pepper. Cook quickly, turning as it browns. Do not overcook.
