Preparation:
In a medium bowl blend all of the ingredients except the steaks. Set the mixture aside for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture into a shallow pan. Add the steaks and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, turning the steaks to make sure both sides are coated. Remove the steaks from the marinade. In a saucepan bring the marinade to a boil, and then allow it to cool.
Prepare the grill. The coals should be white hot. Place the steaks on the grill 4 inches above the coals. Cook for about 2 1/2 minutes on each side for rare; add another minute each side for medium, and so on. Check for doneness by slicing close to the bone. Serve immediately. Serve the remaining marinade on the side. Makes 8 servings. |
