Buttermilk Pie 1

Serves: 9 inch piecrust
 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter -- softened
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 crust unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
 

Preparation:

Cream butter; gradually add sugar; beating well. Add flour, and beat until smooth. Add eggs; beat until combined. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla; beat well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake at 400 F for 5 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350 F, and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set.
