Preparation:
1. Stir together 1 cup sugar and cornstarch in large bowl; add berries, tossing to coat.
2. Place berry mixture in 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish; bake In preheated 4000 F. oven 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. With fork, stir together in medium bowl buttermilk baking mix, walnuts and 1 tablespoon sugar; stir in margarine, then milk.
4. Beat batter vigorously 10 strokes or until stiff and slightly sticky.
5. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto hot fruit; bake 20 to 25 minutes longer, or until browned. |
