Apple Cream Pie

Ingredients:

1 crust Pie crust for one 10 inch pie (OR two 8 pies)
2 Tablespoons Flour
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg
1 Teaspoon cinnamon -- (1 to 2)
5 cups apples -- sliced or shredded
1 cup cream or half and half cream
1/4 Cup Pecans (optional)
 

Preparation:

1. Heat oven to 450 degrees 2. Mix flour, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon together. Stir in prepared apples. 3. Mix in cream and combine well. Arrange apples in uncooked pie crust. 4. Sprinkle with pecans if desired (There is no top crust) 5. Bake at 450 degrees for 10- minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes more. If it is getting too brown, place piece of foil lightly over pie. One more hint--serve with vanilla ice cream!
