Preparation:
In large kettle cook ground beef and onion til brown. Drain off
grease/fat. Add potaotes, carrots, celery, cabbage, tomatoes. Bring to
boil and add rice and bay leaf, thyme, basil, salt, pepper, water.
Simmer til done. Exact mesaurment of vegetables is not importand and a
bit more never hurts, especially tomatoes. If too thick for your
taste, add a can or two of beef bouillon, stock, consomme or more
tomatoes or water. |
