Preparation:
Cut off a quarter of the watermelon lengthwise. Scoop out the meat and cut it into chunks. Toss the watermelon with the remaining fruits and sprinkle lemon juice over all to prevent discoloration. Arrange the fruit mixture in the hollowed watermelon rind. Store any extra fruit in an airtight plastic container so the watermelon basket can be refilled as the fruit is served.
NOTE: Most any fruit can be used but bananas discolor easily. |
