Chinese Bacon-Wrapped Hors D'oeuvres

Ingredients:

10 slices bacon -- cut in half
5 ounces whole or halved water chestnuts
1 bottle teriyaki sauce -- (or 1/4 c. soy sauce plus 1 tbsp. sugar)
 

Preparation:

Marinate drained water chestnuts in teriyaki sauce for about 30 minutes. Drain and wrap bacon around water chestnuts, securing the bacon with a toothpick. Arrange on broiler pan or a rack in shallow baking pan and bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve hot.
