Ingredients:

1 pound navy beans
1/2 pound salt pork
1/2 cup light molasses
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
3 cups water
1 cup brown sugar
 

Preparation:

Soak beans in cold water overnight, drain combine beans and salt pork in a stockpot add cold water to cover, place over a moderate flame heat to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes, drain remove salt pork, cut into small chunks, and place into a casserole stir in beans, mustard, and molasses add boiling water and brown sugar to taste-mix well bake, covered, @ 350 degrees for 2 hours bake, uncovered, @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes, until golden serve hot
