Zippy Mushroom Appetizers

Serves: 4 - 6
 

Ingredients:

2/3 cup tarragon vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons water
1 dash bottled hot pepper sauce
1 medium onion -- sliced and separated into rings
2 cans whole mushrooms -- 6oz or
2 pints fresh mushrooms -- cooked
 

Preparation:

Combine first 8 ingredients. Add onions and mushrooms. Refrigerate mixture in season serve for at least 8 hours. Invert container every 2 hours. Drain and serve as delicious apppetizer.
