Preparation:
FOR PIE:
Pare and grate pears on course side of grater; turn into pie shell and sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine sugar, flour, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon and sprinkle over pears.
FOR TOPPING:
Combine sugar, pecans and flour; then cut in the butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over previous sugar mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer or until done. Cool. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. |
